The Effects of the Change of Season on the Body
Summer is over and the feared change of season is looming on the horizon, to which we usually attribute a wide range of illnesses. Scholars have established that SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder), the disorder that causes fatigue, insomnia, poor ability to concentrate, nausea, psychomotor slowdown, irritability and decreased desire, in relation to seasonal changes, is a very common syndrome.
Among all these symptoms, some are actually produced by the transition between summer and autumn, which leads to fatigue of the body, forced to adapt to changes that we take for granted but that affect more than we imagine for our overall balance. The arrival of autumn brings with it shorter days, lowering temperatures and the rain.

The factor that perhaps most affects the state of our body is the progressive reduction of the hours of light, a change that impacts our mood, making us more subject to mild states of anxiety and melancholy.
With the transition from summer to autumn, our body makes very clear demands on us.

But what about the signals that the psyche sends us?
As the leaves begin to fall and the weather gets cooler, Mother Nature begins preparing for a type of death, and we too may feel called to let things go. We may also feel a need to ‘put things on ice’ or to release our attachment to taking action and making decisions in order to see where things may flow on their own.
Recognising moods and emotions is a good way to stay in touch with yourself, balance your nervous system, strengthen your immune system and prepare your general well-being, so you can activate and remedy the discomforts you feel.
It is with the Autumn Equinox that we naturally begin to prepare for the darkness of winter that is to come. From this point, days now start to grow shorter and nights get longer. A beautiful time to honor how far you’ve come and recalibrate yourself into balance and presence before continuing onward in the journey through life.

Psychophysical well-being is achieved when body and mind are both healthy and in balance and, for this reason, the best approach to the change of season involves taking care of the entire body.
While this Equinox marks the point of diminishing sunlight, it is also a time of harvest where we celebrate all that has come to fruition in the bright light of summer.
It’s also a perfect time of facing our inner shadow, and the concepts of death, void, and darkness. This is a powerful and sacred time for you to identify the intentions you truly desire to embody and manifest your spiritual ascension or your “SOUL-PATH” in your physical life on Earth…and when you do a divine realignment, cleanse and conscious connection to your path, your life’s purpose will just occur, like flowers are blossoming.
About Equinox
This year the equinox will arrive on Tuesday, September 22nd, 2020
The Sun is both the source of light and life on Earth, and the Equinox and Solstice are the turning points in the solar cycle of the seasons. The seasons on Earth change because the planet is slightly tilted on its axis as it travels around the Sun. This means different points on Earth receive more or less sunlight at different times of year.
If Earth were not tilted, the Sun would always appear to be directly above the Equator, the amount of light a given location receives would be fixed, and there would be no seasons. There also would be no need to mark equinoxes or solstices.

During these two points of the year, the tilt of the Earth in its rotational orbit is in a straight alignment with the Sun. The sun crosses the celestial equator and we experience balanced day and night, and light and dark. Depending on what Hemisphere you’re in, and the time of year, the Equinox marks the entrance into either Spring or Autumn.
With the Spring Equinox, the light of day begins to grow longer heading towards the Summer Solstice. With the Autumn Equinox, the days begin to grow shorter heading towards the Winter Solstice.

Equinoxes happen every year on approximately March 20th and September 21nd, when the Sun’s rays shine directly on the Equator.
Even though our location will determine how we will experience these Equinox energies, on this day, all of us will experience this equality and balance between light and dark energies. The scales will be balanced and we will be able to experience the merging of these two energies to the point where we can feel them as one.

The influence of the sun can also be seen on a physical level, because UV rays stimulate the production of vitamin D, useful to bones and able to reduce the incidence of cancer; sunlight also stimulates the production of serotonin, helps muscle relaxation and regularizes biological rhythms.
For this reason, even when the days become shorter, it is important to spend time outdoors and “stock up” on light, a booty that allows the body to produce melanin during the night, improving the quality of sleep and acting directly on the hormonal balance.
Whether as a couple or with friends, you can come here to relax with us and make happy memories. The sun is always shining, the climate is mild, and calmness dominates the natural landscape which will soothe you and make you forget all your worries. Come and get away from it all…
